Presenter Dog Evaluation

We have more demand for programs than we have volunteers and dogs!

If you have a dog you think would be good at our library program, pet safety, or humane education, bring them in and we will evaluate them to see how they do.

Test items include:

  • Accepting a friendly stranger
  • Sitting politely for petting
  • Sitting politely for petting
  • Walking through a crowd
  • Sit and down on cue
  • Staying in place
  • Coming when called
  • Reaction to another dog/distractions
